If you are searching for the Apify Apollo scraper, the one you remember is gone. Apify removed every community-built Apollo.io actor on 22 September 2025 after months of legal pressure from Apollo, and the listings that still carry “Apollo” in the name are either marked deprecated or are database products that never touch Apollo. This page keeps a dated record of what happened, maps the old actor names to what works now, and compares prices for the replacements.
What happened, by date
| Date | Event | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Months before September 2025 | Apollo presses Apify over third-party Apollo actors | Apify Discord |
| 22 September 2025 | Apify removes all community Apollo actors, saying they worked only “using Apollo accounts, which constitutes a breach of their terms” | Apify Discord, ScraperCity status page |
| 30 September 2025 | ScraperCity issues a press release positioning itself as the post-Apify option | FinancialContent |
| October 2025 | A community post reports Apollo moving against Ample Leads | Skool |
| After the removal | A bring-your-own-cookie Apollo actor is published on Apify and marked deprecated within days | Apify |
| 7 October 2026 | A sub-page of a “[DEPRECATED]” actor still ranks #1 for “apify apollo scraper”; Google autocomplete suggests “apify apollo scraper alternative” | Apify |
The short answer for anyone who arrived here from a broken n8n or Make workflow: there is no Apify actor that performs a live Apollo export any more, and there is unlikely to be one, because Apify’s own stated reason was that the method breaches Apollo’s terms. Your three replacement routes are a cloud paste-a-URL service, a Chrome extension running in your own Apollo session, or Apollo Exporter, which runs the export through your own session via a bridge extension and verifies the emails before you download. Prices for all three are in the table further down.
Database actors versus a live Apollo export
The confusing part of today’s Apify store is that Apollo-adjacent listings still exist. Leads Finder by code_crafter, the successor to the removed apollo-scraper-2-0, had 48,473 total users and a 3.46 rating at $1.50 per 1,000 as published on 7 October 2026. The leading “alternative” actor had 2,115 users in the previous 30 days by Apify’s store data. What these actors do is search a database the actor owner maintains and return rows that resemble Apollo output. What they do not do is open your Apollo search. The filters are the actor’s, not Apollo’s; the record counts will differ; and freshness depends on when the database was last rebuilt, which the listings do not state. A live export, whether cloud or in-session, reads the exact search you built in Apollo page by page, so the file matches what you see on screen. If a workflow assumes “paste Apollo URL, get those rows”, a database actor will silently return something else.
Old actor names and where to go now
| Old actor | What it was | Status on 7 October 2026 | Closest current option |
|---|---|---|---|
| curious_coder/apollo-io-scraper | The best-known community actor, run with your Apollo cookie | Removed; its issue tracker still shows a “banned by Apollo” thread | Live export in your own session (Apollo Exporter) or a cloud service |
| code_crafter/apollo-scraper-2-0 | Successor actor | Title now reads “[DEPRECATED]” | code_crafter’s Leads Finder for database rows; a live export for Apollo rows |
| supreme_coder’s Apollo actor | Community actor | Removed | Same as above |
| mikepowers/apollo-easy-scrape-3 (“Apollo Easy Scrape”) | Lightweight actor, 181 total users | Deprecated | Same as above |
| coladeu/apollo-people-leads-scraper | Post-removal listing | Live, but states it does not provide emails or phone numbers | A live export if you need contact fields |
| bovi/apollo-leads-scraper | Bring-your-own-cookie actor | Deprecated within days | Same as above |
Two names from search data correspond to nothing: no site, actor or extension was found for “Leads Magically” or “Magically Genius”, and “amplify apollo scraper” is most likely a misspelling of Apify or a confusion with Ample Leads.
Prices after the removal
| Option | Type | Price per 1,000 | Live Apollo export? | Verification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Apify Leads Finder | Database actor | $1.50 | No | None |
| Ample Leads | Cloud credits | $2.20 to $2.50 | Not verifiable from its page | None published |
| ExportApollo.com | Cloud credits | “Less than $3” | Not verifiable from its page | None published |
| ScraperCity | Cloud, API, MCP | $0.0039 per lead ($3.90) | Not verifiable from its page | None published |
| ExportApollo.io | Done-for-you | $4.49 (table), “$3.49” (title) | Not verifiable from its page | None published |
| AoLeads | Extension | $5.90 to $8.40 a month flat | Yes, in your session | None |
| EvaScrape | Cloud | $9 plus $5 verification | Not verifiable from its page | Paid add-on |
| Scrupp | Extension, cloud, API | About $52 to $63 with emails | Yes, in your session | Hit rate stated, about 36% |
| Apollo Exporter | Web app, your own session via bridge extension | Per row, see pricing; 100-row free trial | Yes, page by page from your search | Every email verified before download |
Rival prices as published on 7 October 2026. “Not verifiable from its page” means the vendor does not say whether rows come live from Apollo or from cached data.
The cheapest number is the database actor, and it is cheap because it is not an Apollo export. Among live options, the cloud services cluster between $2.20 and $4.50 per 1,000 with no published verification, and the extensions are flat monthly fees that run on your own account. Apollo Exporter’s measured validity and delivery figures are on the methodology page rather than here, and the fuller comparison, including refund terms and ratings, is on the best Apollo scrapers page.
Notes for n8n, Make and Clay users
Most Apify-based workflows had three steps: run the actor with a search URL, wait, fetch the dataset. A paste-URL service maps onto the same shape with an HTTP Request node. Send the Apollo search URL and your options in a POST; receive a job identifier; poll a status endpoint or accept a webhook until the job reports complete; then download the CSV and parse it with a CSV node before pushing rows to your CRM or sheet. In Make the equivalent is an HTTP module feeding a Parse CSV module; in Clay, an HTTP API column or a webhook table that receives the finished rows. Two caveats apply. First, check whether an API exists at all: ScraperCity documents one, most cloud services do not, and the current state of Apollo Exporter’s programmatic access is on the Apollo scraper API page. Second, any tool that runs through your own Apollo session, Apollo Exporter included, needs the browser with the bridge extension open and logged in while the job runs. The automation triggers and collects; it does not replace the session.
What to do today
Delete the dead Apify node, check whether your search link uses Apollo’s “Filters 2.0” format with the free search URL parser, and pick a replacement from the price table by what you need: cheapest file, API access, or verified emails from your own search. The Apollo scraper product page explains how a paste-URL export through your own session works and starts you with 500 free credits. Before you run anything, read the guide to scraping Apollo and its risks and the legal guide, because the terms that ended the Apify actors apply to every method on this page, including ours.
