Apollo’s native export is the right tool for a few hundred contacts. Past that it gets expensive and slow: a 10,000-person list costs 10,000 unified credits, which is a third of a Basic plan’s annual allowance, and lists cannot be selected past 50,000 records. Apollo Exporter is the faster route for exports from one thousand rows up.

What the exported file contains
People exports carry the 25 standard Apollo people fields: name, title, seniority, department, company, company domain, company LinkedIn, industry, headcount, revenue, location, person LinkedIn URL, email, email status and phone where shown. Company exports carry the company group plus technologies, keywords and funding where Apollo shows them. The full column list and a sample file are on the Apollo scraper page.
Cells are single-line, quotes are escaped and the header is exactly the list you choose in the app, so the file loads into Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, HubSpot, Salesforce and Google Sheets without cleanup. Append mode adds a new search to an existing list and de-duplicates by Apollo contact ID, which is how agencies keep one growing master list per client.
People exports and company exports
Paste a URL from app.apollo.io/#/people for a people export, or from app.apollo.io/#/companies for a company export. Both respect the same 100-page render cap, so a search that is larger than 2,500 results should be split by headcount or location before export. The free URL tool does the split for you and produces one ready-to-paste URL per band.
Limits you will hit, and how to get past them
The three limits that stop most Apollo exports are the 100-page render cap, the 50,000-record selection cap, and the credit pool. Apollo Exporter removes the credit cost entirely and works around the page cap with splitting; the selection cap does not apply because nothing is selected.
